Barry M are always pretty much spot on with their new nail launches and the new Speedy Quick Dry collection is gorgeous. With an array of pastel-ly shades to cater to all tastes, they are perfect for Spring and I couldn’t resist giving them a test drive.
The whole range is aesthetically pleasing but I went for ‘Eat My Dust’ which seems to be the shade of the moment. It’s a shade that in my head resonates with ‘blue tack’ but that really doesn’t do it justice. The application was smooth and it was great to see Barry M getting on board with the wider brush movement with many of the other nail brands. I found it took three coats to become completely opaque, but if you were to use slightly thicker layers, two would probably suit.
So onto the speedy dry time test. It definitely was quicker than others but I was still cautious of smudging and chipping so tried to have a bit of downtime whilst I waited. The only issue I have (which is the same with most quick-dry formulas) is that it doesn’t last quite as long on my nails as for example, one of my Essie polishes. For the price and ease of being able to have a fresh new mani in a few minutes, I’m willing to let that slide.
I’d definitely be tempted to try a couple more shades from the line to compare because I was pretty impressed.
