It’s safe to say a lot of shopping went down during my week in San Francisco. Obviously the excitement of visiting Sephora and ULTA got the better of me as a whole heap of new products ended up coming home with me. Since I’ve been home, I’ve been trying things out here and there and I have yet to find something from this haul that I haven’t loved but full reviews will definitely be on the horizon.
Now one of my top priorities when it came to shopping was tracking down the nearest branch of ULTA as I have been dreaming of owning the Lorac PRO palette for such a long time. The shades are absolutely beautiful and with a 50/50 split of shimmers and mattes, I know I’m going to have some fun with this one. I was also having some foundation issues whilst I was away so I was keen to get my hands on a new base product. I remember reading about the IT Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC Cream and decided to give it a go. I bought the shade ‘Light’ and whilst it looks a little dark in the tube, it blends like a dream.
Sephora also brought the goods makeup wise. I want to try and experiment a little more with contouring so the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour palette has a bunch of shades to work with. I’m over siliconey, slippery primers and was after something more hydrating so I also grabbed the Too Faced Hangover Primer as I’ve heard great recommendations. Another new product to me was the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light and I opted for the tiny travel sized version, which is just so cute. I used the opportunity to stock up on my favourite Anastasia Brow Wiz and also the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper.
I’m already a huge fan of Living Proof hair products so made a point to grab a couple of new things to try. From the Perfect Hair day range, I picked up the 5-in-1 Styling treatment and the Dry Shampoo so I can’t wait to see how these work out.
My one lonely nail product that came home with me was Essie’s nail polish in Penny Talk. I haven’t ever seen this shade in the UK before but it looks gorgeous and perfect for Christmas time.
Have you tried any of these products?
