I’m can say I’m guilty of not experimenting with my wardrobe enough (or at all really). Though trends come and go each season, some items of clothing are classics that can be worn time and time again. I thought I’d put together a list of some of my wardrobe staples that will take me through autumn and beyond.
The Striped Top – If you ask me, no wardrobe is complete without a breton striped top. They’re one of the most versatile items there is and there are so many styles to choose from. My current version is from Zara (no longer available). It’s slightly thicker than your average tee with a boxy shape.
The Chelsea Boots – Whether worn with jeans, or with a dress or skirt, Chelsea boots just work. Mine were an absolute bargain from H&M. They’re super comfy and due to the thicker sole, they’re also slightly grungier than the average.
The Leather Jacket – Everybody needs a leather jacket. It’s the perfect layering piece to take you from day to night. Mine is from All Saints. It was pricey but something I wear all the time.
The Skinny Jeans – My favourite skinny jeans are the Topshop Jamie’s. As someone who struggles with jeans shopping, it’s nice to have a go to pair. They have a slightly higher waist than others and they hold they’re shape really well, even after years of wear.
The Blanket Scarf – An autumnal pick is my favourite scarf from New Look. It is enormous with a double-sided check pattern. I often wear it to keep warm when wearing a lighter jacket.
