Since after detailing my AM and PM skincare routines, the final stint of this week is all about the extra bits. Treatments and tools that though not essential come into play when skin is looking dull, dry or blemish prone.
I’d toying with the idea of getting a Clarisonic Mia 2 for a good couple of years. It’s such a hit or miss product in the beauty world but I took the plunge late last year. When my skin is particularly bothersome, I’ll use this with cleanser to give skin a deeper cleanse but it’s definitely reserved for worst-case scenario zits.
I love nothing more than to slather on a facemask a couple of times a week and leave them do their magic. The three that rank highest in my collection all tackle different skin issues. The Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque is blemish busting without leaving skin feeling stripped. The Oskia Renaissance Mask is perfection for dull, greige winter skin. It’s like a souped up version of the REN Glycolactic Mask. For a hefty dose of moisture, it’s all about the Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask. Firstly, it smells incredible and secondly, its one of the only moisturising creams I can apply evening and still feel on my skin the following morning.
If Facial Oils are a regular feature in your skincare line up, I’d recommend the Body Shop Facial Massager because if nothing else, it feels amazing! I find after using this most evenings, my skin tends to be clearer, with less irritating lumps and bumps.
So that’s skincare week done and dusted. I can’t wait so see what skincare innovations 2015 brings.
