As I’ve grown up, it’s safe to say my nose for scents has changed quite a bit. I used to always find rose scents as a bit granny-ish, not cool and young like myself. In the last year or so, something has clicked and now I know get the rose thing. I can’t get enough of the stuff so here’s a run down of my favourite rose beauty bits.
Lush Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask
My skin often suffers from redness so I immediately knew Rosy Cheeks would be right up my street. It contains calming ingredients a plenty and although it’s quite sticky to apply initially, it dries down like a clay mask. I’m not entirely sure whether my redness improves a lot but my skin does feel smooth and soft afterwards.
MV Organics Rose Plus Booster
With a combination of rose and rosehip oils amongst others, this beautiful oil is an absolute staple in my skincare routine. I often will apply a couple of drops in the morning alongside my moisturiser and do the same at night. It’s so calming and my skin just looks and feels dreamy when I use this. It’s eye-wateringly pricey and I’m quite aware that I’m putting 50p worth of product on my face each time but I love it!
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty
Curveball time. This may not have rose as an ingredient (as far as I’m aware) but Natural Beauty is the most gorgeous rosy blush I ever did see. Tarte blushes are renound for being super-pigmented and last forever on the skin and this is no exception. It doesn’t get enough wear from me so I need to correct that.
Chloe Eau de Parfum
Perfume is where it gets tricky for me because I honestly have no clue how to describe a fragrance other than “nice” but here it goes. Rose is the first scent I pick up on in this perfume but I know this probably isn’t the case for everyone. I spritz this on in the morning and can usually still smell it throughout the day.
Lush Rose Jam Bubbleroon and Shower Gel
Lush are basically the masters of all things rose and the Rose Jam collection is just my ultimate scent. I love the Bubbleroon and I love the shower gel so damn much and I couldn’t even tell you how many of both I have been through. Nothing beats a shower or a bath with one of these products used.
NARS Audacious Lipstick in Grace
Another not quite rose product is this lipstick. I am so excited for spring and being able to wear this gorgeous pink again. The Audacious lipsticks are one of my favourite formulas – they just apply so smoothly with plenty of pigment and hang around for hours despite not being matte. I’m 100% packing this one to come to America with me. Springtime, here we come!
